My Teaching & Mentoring Philosophy

Over the past ten years, I've designed and delivered instructions for online, hybrid, and in-person modes. I've also mentored high school, undergraduate, and post-graduate students from culturally and linguistically different backgrounds.

The following principles guide my Teaching and Mentoring Philosophy:

  1. Effective teaching and mentoring always involve active and constructive engagement of students

  2. Impactful teaching and mentoring always lead to conceptual change and the ability to transfer knowledge to real-world problem-solving

  3. Accessible teaching and mentoring always adopt a caring pedagogy with culturally responsive practices.
